This year, it will take a miracle to get the Irish in...tough year and they definitely had their chances to make a mark. Only have themselves to blame...
Don't know if any of you have noticed, but everytime I go out to restaurants, Costco, etc., I am really having a tough time finding the 'depression' everyone sees in the headlines. I'm not saying that there aren't tough times, but the traffic (albeit looking for deals) is consistent and hard to understand how it isn't lifting the numbers...keep your eye on the local...it tells a story!
Again this weekend we were treated to the knowledge of the 'inside the beltway' logic across all the networks (NBC, ABC & CNN). The ONLY Statesman-like comment I did hear came from Newt Gingrich...doesn't matter if you agree with him or not...just listen: 'we don't need to have this debate in 2012, we need this debate right now'. He was commenting on the debate regarding the budget and the economic mess we are in...are we going to go Socialistic like Europe (do we have a choice) or are we going to stay by the Conservative approach to not over-expanding into each of our lives? BTW, I don't agree with everything that falls under the Conservative banner...just as many don't agree with everything falling under the Liberal banner.
Trying to digest all the news today...be on the road tomorrow, so I'll probably have lots of time to hear it all too...have a great week!
